Its got some hardware issues with some components. No need to worry, from what I've heard It will be available very soon may be end of October :)

Abi, do u know why Nokia is not having the pencil key on some of its newer series 60 devies ???

ReplyDelete6120 classic is just one of the, and quite few newer once which i dont recollect. but i doubt even N81 8gb has a pencil key.

"At first sight the 6120 appears to be missing the standard S60 edit key (the pencil), as the Symbian-Guru has noticed. In some of the recent S60 phones the edit key functionality is accessed via the # key, which must be pressed and held to select text. The 6120 appears to need this action."

ReplyDeletei am from mumbai too, and i have been searching for the e90 for some time now. In fact i reached your blog while searching for e90 availability. I have tried smaller shops as well as biggies like mobile store, shopper's stop, vijay sales etc and nobody seems to have it. But noone is explicitly saying that it is out of production, maal nahi aa raha is the most they are ready to say. They dont seem to know more than that also. the vijay sales outlet in chembur had quoted 35k when i asked them 2 months ago. Now when i finally decided to take the plunge and went back to them, they say it is not available. If you get any information about e90 availability in mumbai, i would appreciate if you could post it here. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteThats true "maal nahi aa raha hai". Even I am waiting for my E90 which I was supposed to get by October end. But the production delay seems to have stretched too much now. But I will surely post if I come to know about its availability.

This phone sucks. It has numerous bugs, my sincere advice to every one not to buy this brick. My E90 has gone back to Nokia service center and is with them since two months and no reply from them as yet. Its better to go on a holiday than spending sleepless nights after shelling out 35K on the damn stupid stone.
